Samurai Lose to Blues, 9-6
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the China Grove Samurai and Memphis Blues get after it.
Led by Héctor Castro, the Memphis Blues downed the China Grove Samurai, 9-6. Castro was 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Blues. The winner was Munehiro Amaki in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Jake Kohles took the loss. Sheridon Raffles earned his 6th save in 8 chances.
Castro had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a full count fastball from Jake Kohles, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Blues a 9-6 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Castro.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Castro said after the game.
