Liberty Need Extra Innings to Top Dogs, 3-1

Philadelphia used a superb performance from starting pitcher José Sprow to down the Chicago Dogs, 3-1. Nick Brewer, now 6-3, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The victory gives Philadelphia a record of 81-61.
Philadelphia took a 3-1 lead on Jake Manendo's 28th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Chicago pitcher José Valdéz in the top of the 11th.
"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Manendo told the Philadelphia Gazette.
