Dreamers Lose at Home, 7-1, to Milwaukee
|
Led by Lou Hudley, the Milwaukee Milkmen downed the California Dreamers, 7-1. Hudley was 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times for the Milkmen. Steve Beacon got the win, improving to 8-6. He worked 6 innings, giving up 1 run on 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Sergio Marino earned his 13th save in 17 chances.
Hudley had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-2 fastball from Dan Phy, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Milkmen a 2-1 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Hudley.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Hudley told a Milwaukee Citizen reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
The Milkmen' win now puts them at 60-77.
