Milkmen Prevail, 5-3, Over Washington
|
The Milwaukee Milkmen weathered a fine game by Washington first baseman Josh Comingore to upend the Generals, 5-3, at Milkmen Ballpark. Comingore went 2-4 with a double and was hit by a pitch. Bingo Long earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record is now 6-6. Sergio Marino earned the save, his 9th in 13 tries.
The Milkmen got an important contribution from first baseman Lou Hudley, who in the bottom of the first punched a 2-2 curveball into left for a bases-clearing double. It was his 15th double of the season and put the Milkmen ahead, 4-0.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Hudley.
The Milkmen go to 49-85 with the win.
