Dreamers Win 2-1 Walk-Off
|
The California Dreamers faced a tough opponent in Chicago pitcher Tony Peredo, but did just enough to pull out the victory at M&P Park by a final score of 2-1. Peredo went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 run. The winner was Caden Zwier in relief. His record improves to 4-0. José Valdéz took the loss. The triumph puts California at 75-55 for the season.
Juan Báldez was the walk-off hero for California. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Dreamers left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said California manager Matt Walker.
