Millers Run Win Streak to 8
The Millers grabbed a win, 3-2, at Paul Bunyan Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Memphis pitcher Jim Shue. Shue went 5.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. Ed Fish got the save, his 34th in 37 chances. Minneapolis is now riding a 8-game win streak.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the sixth, with the game tied, Wilson Pérez was at the plate when Minneapolis scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Millers to go in front, 3-2.

"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Pérez told the Minneapolis Gazette.
