Bats Fall Short, 3-2, at Washington
|
Washington Generals starter Mike Laino was dealing. He helped his team knock off the Austin Bats, 3-2. Washington is now 55-72, while Austin is 64-64.
The Generals got an important contribution from first baseman Josh Comingore, who in the bottom of the fourth punched a full count sinker into left for a 2-run home run. It was his 19th home run of the season and put the Generals ahead, 2-0.
Laino told the Washington Today: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
