The California Dreamers trumped the Milwaukee Milkmen, 13-8, at Milkmen Ballpark. California catcher Ken Dreger was terrific. He was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Vic Fennessy got the win, improving to 10-2. He held the Milkmen to 3 runs on 6 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 2. The win gives California a season record of 74-51.
Ben Gladys, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Gladys contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning to put California up, 1-0.
