Generals Take Down Bats, 6-5
|
The Washington Generals beat the Austin Bats, 6-5. Washington pitcher and Santa Clarita, California, native Alex Dugar led the way. Washington reliever Lazlo Stromain was the winner. His record is now 2-6. The losing pitcher was Sidney Zantinge. The Generals improved to 54-71.
The Generals relied on third baseman Théo Angot for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 14th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Dugar said in his postgame press conference.
