The Charlotte Knights defeated the San Diego Surf Dawgs, 4-0, in Frontier League action at Petco Park. Charlotte pitcher Dan Phy had a standout performance. The win puts Charlotte at 48-77.
Charlotte relied on the hitting of Lonnie Floto to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Knights on top, 2-0. For the game, Floto had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
