Seawolves Fall Short, 3-2, at Nashville
|
In a tight tilt between the Nashville Outlaws and the Erie Seawolves, Sergio Negrón was the deciding factor. The Nashville right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. António Mora was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 34 of 37 save opportunities. Nashville, at 59-65, sits in 6th place in the Frontier League.
Had Gilberto Rivera not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Rivera hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Outlaws.
Rivera attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
