Milkmen Get Past Minneapolis for 4-3 Win
|
The Milwaukee Milkmen took Minneapolis pitcher Kire Rellim's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Paul Bunyan Stadium. The final score had Milwaukee getting past the Millers, 4-3. Rellim went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 8. The save went to Sergio Marino, number 8 for him. The Milkmen go to 46-77 with the win.
Carlos Valderrama, the 25-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Valderrama contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Milwaukee up, 4-3.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Milkmen manager Nate Lee. "This one was nice to get."
