Milkmen Take 13-1 Pounding
|
Tony Chapa was instrumental in his team's 13-1 triumph over the Milwaukee Milkmen. The left fielder went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Vancouver Grizzlies. Milwaukee has now lost 8 consecutive games.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when Chapa, who finished 2nd in the FL in on-base percentage with .390 in 2037, hit a run-scoring single. It propelled the Grizzlies into the lead, 1-0.
"We're in a funk right now," said Milwaukee skipper Nate Lee.
