Generals Sneak Past Blues, 7-6
|
Washington beat Memphis at Gateway Field, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to shortstop Mitch Kozlosky. He was 2-3 with 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Washington reliever Jong-kook Kym picked up the win to move to 3-0. Liam Deschaine suffered the loss. The current losing streak for Memphis has reached 5 games.
Washington used a clutch hit from Théo Angot to get the win. The second baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Generals ahead, 7-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"What we get, we earn," Angot told the Washington Today.
