Samurai Need Extra Frames to Get Past Knights
|
The China Grove Samurai topped the Charlotte Knights by a score of 4-3. Leading the way was second baseman Liam Imasa. Imasa went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs for the Samurai. Rob Biehl was credited with the save for China Grove, his 6th of the season. China Grove is 50-66 and Charlotte, with the loss, 51-64.
Imasa had a game-changing home run in the top of the 12th. On a first pitch fastball from Lou Johnson, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Samurai a 4-3 lead. It was the 13th home run of the year for Imasa.
"Liam is still learning," said Samurai manager Bobby Hillier. "The sky's the limit for him."
