The Philadelphia Liberty did just enough to secure a victory over the Erie Seawolves, 1-0, at Roughnecks Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Sandy Strausser. Philadelphia has a 3-game win streak, while Erie has lost 3 in a row.

In the bottom of the seventh, Philadelphia shortstop José Cruz hit a run-scoring single to right field. The clutch hit made it, 1-0, Liberty.

"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Cruz told the Philadelphia Observer.
