Blues Net 6-4 Win Over Seawolves
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Memphis Blues and Erie Seawolves.
Memphis Blues starter Jim Shue pitched a strong game against the Erie Seawolves at Safeco Field, leading the Blues to victory, 6-4. The win gives Memphis a season record of 61-50.
Memphis relied on the hitting of Dan Gaccione to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put the Blues on top, 2-0. For the game, Gaccione had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Gaccione. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
