The Chicago Dogs picked up a win at New Northwest Stadium, knocking off the Washington Generals, 3-1. On the mound for Chicago was right-hander Phil Barrale, who played a pivotal role in the win. Washington now has a 6-game losing streak.
In the bottom of the third, Chicago left fielder Rusty Wachowski had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and two out, Wachowski stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 2-1, Chicago. For the game, he went 2-4 with 2 singles.
"It was a good effort all around," said Barrale.
