Generals Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Washington Generals went home winners at Palmer Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Mal Robinson. Robinson stifled the Minneapolis Millers, enabling Washington to grab the 1-0 win. The win was credited to 33-year old right-handed pitcher José González in relief. His record improves to 8-14. Juan Guajardo took the loss. With the win, Washington upped its record to 56-52.
The Generals got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Mason Kane. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Generals.
"We didn't go down without a fight," said Minneapolis manager Kurt Olsen.
