Grizzlies Bump Off Seawolves, 4-1

The Vancouver Grizzlies got a strong performance from pitcher Juan Alemán, who stymied the Erie offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Nat Bailey Stadium. Alemán went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 9. His record improves to 14-4. Von Harkenrider got the save, his 7th in 9 chances.
Dan King, who finished 3rd in the HL in batting average with .331 in 2043, chipped in for Vancouver with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
"I got in a good groove," said Alemán. "I was getting some swings and misses."
Vancouver raised its record to 64-41 with the win.
