Busam Now 10-4 After Subduing Liberty
|
Minneapolis and Philadelphia duked it out and the Millers came out victorious.
Minneapolis Millers starter Joe Busam was in fine form. He led his team to victory over the Philadelphia Liberty, 3-1. Picking up the save was Ed Fish. He's now 25 for 27 in save chances.
Busam, who dominated for Minneapolis, earned the victory to move to 10-4. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 7. Philadelphia batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Busam said.
The first-place Millers have a one-game lead in their division.
