Memphis Bats Silenced by Werstein
|
Nashville Outlaws pitcher Jeff Werstein really got it done at Olympic Stadium today in his 2-0 shutout victory over the Memphis Blues, shutting them down on 1 hit.
"It was just one of those games where everything went right. I threw a lot of strikes," Werstein said. "And the pitches they did get to hit, they didn't do anything with them."
The 26-year-old issued 3 walks and had 8 strikeouts in the Outlaws win.
This year Werstein has posted a 7-5 mark in 20 starts and has a 2.20 ERA.
