Milwaukee Bats Go Silent in 3-0 Loss
|
The Vancouver Grizzlies got a magnificent performance from pitcher Johnny Fields, who stifled the Milwaukee offense en route to a 3-0 Grizzlies win at Nat Bailey Stadium. Derek Marthaller converted his 4th save in 4 tries. With the win, Vancouver pushed its record to 53-35.
In the bottom of the fifth, Dan King delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Vancouver second baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Grizzlies in front, 3-0.
"Johnny is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Vancouver manager Aneury Rodriguez.
