San Diego rode a fine outing from starter Al Knight to victory over the Vancouver Grizzlies at Petco Park. The final score was 4-1. Ira Zmijewski, credited with the save, is now 11 for 13 in save opportunities. The win boosted San Diego to 44-35.
In the bottom of the second, San Diego third baseman António Torrez had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out, Torrez stroked a 2-run single to left. It made the score 3-1, San Diego. For the game, he was 1-3, while adding 2 RBI.
