The Washington Generals got a superb performance from third baseman John Nemecek, but the Chicago Dogs still won the game, 5-3. Nemecek went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The victory puts Chicago at 31-47.
Vince Stamos, the 23-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Stamos contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Chicago up, 2-0.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Dogs manager Kenny Diaz. "This one was nice to get."
