Bob Cuomo, the winning pitcher, is now 5-5. He went 6.1 innings, allowing no runs on 5 hits, while fanning 4 and walking 0. The 7th-place Milkmen have won 4 in a row.
Early in the game, left fielder Ed Neidhardt had a solo home run for Milwaukee. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Milkmen on top, 1-0.
