Seawolves Trip Knights, 1-0, in Extra Innings
|
In a low-scoring contest, Erie pitcher Wes Pedigo was marvelous in his team's 1-0 win. Ken Clabeaux earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-2. The 6th-place Seawolves improved to 37-39.
Denholm Woods drove in one run for Erie. With no one out and the game tied in the top of the 11th inning, Woods, who finished 2nd in the FL in doubles with 37 in 2051, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Charlotte hurler Ernesto García, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Seawolves a 1-0 lead.
"Big win," said Woods.
