Knights Top Generals, 7-4
|
Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Palmer Stadium.
Led by Nick Chubb, the Charlotte Knights downed the Washington Generals, 7-4. Chubb went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Knights. Charlotte, with the win, climbs to 23-49.
Charlotte used a clutch hit from Kamalamaya Subram to get the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Knights ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Chubb.
