Erie used a superb performance from starting pitcher Mike Rencher to down the Washington Generals, 2-1. The winner was Chris Villamizar in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Claude Johnson took the loss. The Seawolves raised their record to 35-38.
Alvin Lizak, who is tied for 10th in the FL in triples with 2, aided the Erie cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop went 2 for 3 with 2 singles.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Erie manager Tyler Roberts.
