Minneapolis Gets 6-4 Win
|
The Minneapolis Millers took Milwaukee pitcher Bob Cuomo's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Milkmen Ballpark. The final score had Minneapolis getting past the Milkmen, 6-4. Cuomo went 5 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 4. Kire Rellim, who went 6.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 6 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 7. His record now stands at 10-0. Minneapolis is now 42-25, 2 games up in the Frontier League.
Minneapolis third baseman Dexter Morgan landed a blow when he socked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh. It was his 5th home run of the season. With it, the Millers took a 4-3 lead.
"This is a very good team," said Morgan. "We have the chance to do something special."
