Outlaws Roll to 8-2 Win Over Grizzlies
|
Nashville pitcher Jonathan Schimmels had a large part in his team subduing the Vancouver Grizzlies, 8-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. The winning pitcher was Schimmels, now 5-3. He tossed 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 5. With the win, Nashville upped its record to 31-31.
Danny Kirk, who is tied for 3rd in the FL in RBI with 38, chipped in a 2-run home run for Nashville in the bottom of the first. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Kirk.
