Dogs Post 2-1 Win Over Memphis
|
Starting pitcher Tomás Pacheco was a major factor in the 2-1 Chicago Dogs triumph over the Memphis Blues. José Valdéz finished to wrap up his 7th save. Chicago, at 26-34, sits in 6th place in the Heartland League.
Bob Lamparter, the 26-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Lamparter contributed a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put Chicago up, 2-0.
"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Lamparter told the Chicago Chronicle.
