Gone Again! 3 HR for MacKinnon Tuesday, April 25th , 2051 Jon MacKinnon went on an explosive hitting spree against the Rocky Mountain Oysters at Colorado Field today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the Sacramento Bears to the 7-4 win. The first baseman finished 3-for-4 with 3 runs scored and 4 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," MacKinnon said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Rocky Mountain skipper Jayden Spruill said MacKinnon was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Jon MacKinnon hit a two-run home run off Braden Allen in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Braden Allen in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Oscar Dudzik in the 5th and struck out in the 7th. So far this season MacKinnon is batting .333 with 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has 7 hits in 21 at-bats, 5 walks and a .462 OBP. MacKinnon has played in 7 games. |
