Week's #1 Player: Rocky Mountain's Meade
Monday, April 26th , 2060
Phoenix Meade must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .625 clip, then the Rocky Mountain catcher finds out he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the POR Player of the Week Award.
He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too."
For the week Meade batted .625 (10-for-16) with 2 home runs and 7 RBIs.
