POR Awards Outstanding Hitter Award, Boyd Gets Prize
Monday, October 13th , 2059
At the age of 21, Randy Boyd of the Puhi Dolphins could very well have his best years ahead of him.

It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2059 was good enough to win the shortstop the Porter Outstanding Hitter Award.

"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."

The top hitter put up a .353 batting average this year, as well as a .467 on-base percentage. He played 113 games and racked up 151 hits, 24 doubles, no triples, 23 home runs, 91 RBIs and 86 runs scored.

He received 13 first place votes out of a possible 24. Greg Soltis of the Austin Rustlers finished second in voting with 11 first place votes, while Abdoul Ren of the Omaha Blackbirds finished third.
