Houck August's Best Hurler in POR Monday, September 1st , 2059 Owen Houck really strutted his stuff in August with 4 wins and no losses and walked off with the Pitcher of the Month Award in the Porter. The Raleigh starter was good news for his club, but bad news for the opposition. In 37.2 innings of work, Houck limited opposing batters to 27 base hits and a .203 batting average. He totaled 35 strikeouts, issued 10 walks and had a 1.91 ERA. This season Houck has compiled a 9-0 record with a 2.44 ERA in 9 starts. |
