Jacob Launches 3 HR for Rustlers Friday, August 22nd , 2059 Every now and then, everything just comes together. Dave Jacob discovered that today at Cowboys Ballpark, as he smashed three home runs during the 14-3 Austin Rustlers win over the Tulsa Twisters. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Austin second baseman said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Jacob finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 5 RBIs. Dave Jacob walked in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Gavin Good in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Alexis Simbolon in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Ari Morrison in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. Jacob is hitting .240 so far this season with 47 RBIs and 50 runs scored. He has 76 hits including 11 home runs, 57 walks and .361 OBP. |
