Generals Cruise to Quarterfinals with Sweep Monday, May 1st, 2045 Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the High School Sweet 16. It turned out quite a bit different. The Alac C Pope HS Generals swept aside the Bishop Gorman HS Gamblers to advance to the Quarterfinals, winning the final game by a 5-4 score at The Shoe. The series MVP was first baseman Parker Lee, who hit .429 with a .600 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 3 runs. "We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."
