Ross on Fire, 5-for-5 Against Huntington Beach HS Saturday, February 23rd , 2064 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but TC Roberson HS's Conner Ross made it happen against the Oilers. Everything came together at the plate for the 14-year-old third baseman as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and helped the Red Claws triumph, 6-2, at The Beach. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Ross said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Conner Ross hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
