He may only be 16, but Arnold Trout of the Poly Prep Country Day School Blue Devils has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the High School.

The reliever was today named the HS Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2060.

He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 15 saves in 23 relief appearances and 31 strikeouts in 29 innings. He had a record of 4-1 to go with his 1.24 ERA.

He received 29 first place votes out of a possible 32. Logan Garfield of the Hoover HS Pirates finished second in voting, while Corbin Scott of the Jackson HS Polar Bears finished third with 3 first place votes.
