Cooper Zeroes in on Starting Pitcher
Sunday, April 18th , 2060
Jayden Cooper has submitted a scouting report for starting pitcher Branson Jacobs.

Here is the complete scouting report:

Branson Jacobs is a lanky and long-armed left-hander who was born in Fort Worth, Texas. When he is fully developed, his repertoire should include a swing-and-miss fastball, a quality sinker, and a fringe changeup. Once developed, he should among the league leaders in strikeouts year in and year out. But sometimes he tries too hard, and that gets him into trouble with the longball. I don't know if that's something he can fix, either, but may just have to live with it. I'm not sold on Jacobs ever being able to hold a spot in a starting rotation, but he may be a good filler.

In 9 starts this season, Jacobs has recorded 1 win and absorbed 2 losses. He has pitched 39.2 innings, allowed 56 hits, struck out 51 and has a 4.99 ERA.
