Generals Advance to Quarterfinals Saturday, April 19th , 2059 The joy and relief on the faces of the Alac C Pope HS Generals players was obvious as they celebrated their Sweet 16 win over the Sulphur HS Golden Tornados. "In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said Alac C Pope HS left fielder Kaleb Richardson, shortly after the 5-4 win that clinched the series 2-1. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done." The team is now off to the Quarterfinals. Richardson won series MVP honors on the strength of his .429 batting average during the series. He also had a .429 on-base percentage and 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Quarterfinals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Sweet 16 finishes.
