Eagles Cruise to Quarterfinals with Sweep Thursday, April 17th , 2059 After their 9-3 win today at The Eagles Nest over the Lake Travis Captains, the Stoneman Douglas HS Eagles will advance to the Quarterfinals. Stoneman Douglas HS won the series by a 2-0 margin. Leading the way for the Eagles was right fielder Winston Ballard, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP. "I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus." The Quarterfinals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Sweet 16 finishes.
