Playoff Bound: Sulphur HS Secures Wild Card Sunday, April 13th , 2059 The Sulphur HS Golden Tornados may not go on to win a HS Championship, but the team celebrated like they had won a championship tonight after securing a wild card spot. "We were definitely feeling the pressure. To go so late into the season and not know whether you're going to make the playoffs or not, it's intense. That's why you're seeing such an excited reaction," said right fielder Erick Owens. "All our guys I think are just relieved that we made it after all that." It did indeed take a tough battle and with their record at 21-18, the Golden Tornados will now look to bring the 1st HS Championship championship to Sulphur HS. |
