Petersen 32-Game Hitting Streak Ends
Sunday, March 29th , 2065
For once, it was the Enid HS Predators picking up the slack for Grant Petersen.

The club's "offensive catalyst," as Enid HS manager Jaden Greggs has frequently called him, went uncharacteristically silent and saw his 32-game hitting streak snapped by the Carroll HS Dragons. Petersen was bailed out by the rest of the Predators, however, who stopped the Dragons, 3-1.

The 15-year-old shortstop finished the day 0-for-4, and told reporters at the postgame press conference that "everybody did their job but me."

"Not that it was a huge problem -- we still won the game," he said with a grin. "The streak was a good run though. I'll try to start another one tomorrow."

So far this season, Petersen is hitting .380 with 6 home runs, 23 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 46 hits in 121 at-bats and a .432 OBP.
