Burton collected 6 hits against the Huntington Beach HS Oilers, but he couldn't win the game. Alac C Pope HS fell, 9-7, in extra innings at The Beach. "It's a shame we didn't win," Burton said later. "It would have been a very special day if that had happened." "In every one of his at-bats, things were in his favor," Oilers manager Jamel Epps said. "We couldn't keep him from getting ahead in the count and once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get better pitches to hit." Dalton Burton flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th, walked in the 11th, flied out in the 13th, hit a two-run single in the 15th, singled in the 17th, singled in the 19th and singled in the 21st.
