Captains End Owens's Streak Tuesday, March 11th , 2059 Erick Owens's sizzling hitting streak was snapped at 24 games today as the Sulphur HS Golden Tornados dropped their contest with the Lake Travis Captains 5-0 at Sulphur Field. Owens failed to get a hit, finishing 0-for-4. After the game Owens spoke with BNN and called his effort "quite a streak." "I just ran into some good pitching today," he said. In 17 games Owens is hitting .406 this season with 28 hits, 5 home runs, 15 RBIs, 10 walks, .481 OBP and has scored 17 runs. |
