Wheat Bashes 5 Base Hits Tuesday, March 11th , 2053 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Brian Wheat today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Wolf Park and paced the Wolves to a 7-6 win over the Riverrdale Baptist HS Crusaders. After his dynamite batting performance, the Basic HS center fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Brian Wheat hit an RBI double in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, struck out in the 7th, hit a two-run triple in the 9th and doubled in the 11th.
