Mays Hits in 20 Straight Games Tuesday, April 6th , 2060 With 2 hits at The Shipwreck today, Gregory Mays added another game to his hitting streak -- the Gulfport HS third baseman has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Admirals today, as they fell, 4-3, to the Lake Travis Captains. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Lake Travis manager Jaxon Mann said later. "I'll let him get 5 hits in 5 at-bats if it means we get a win." Gregory Mays struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. On the year Mays has hit .319 with 16 home runs, 44 RBIs and scored 26 runs. |
