Hill Goes 5-for-5
Saturday, April 8th , 2062
Fans at The Bear Den got to see not only a home-team victory today, but also one of the most impressive feats of hitting of the season.
The Jackson HS Polar Bears outplayed the Chandler HS Wolverines en route to a 12-6 win, but the standout was left fielder Gavin Hill. Hill netted 5 hits in 5 at-bats and finished with a dynamite game line.
"Hey, we tried everything we could think of to get him out," Wolverines manager Pat Graves said in postgame comments. "We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the sink, too."
Gavin Hill hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a three-run double in the 7th.
In this current campaign Hill is hitting at a .307 clip with 6 home runs and 24 RBIs.
